Blue

According to Google, blue is the world’s favorite color, which makes sense … either that or we’re all too hypnotized by the sky to pick another. But it makes sense—blue is everywhere, from the vast ocean to the language used when you stub your toe in the dark.

It’s cool without trying, deep without showing off, and classy enough to make wet stones on a beach beautiful. It’s the color of crisp morning air, the kind that makes a person feel like he ought to do something useful with his day. And of course, there’s the blues—the music, the mood, and the excuse for every sorry fellow who’s been left, lost, or just generally feeling sorry for himself. Blue is deep, respectable, and, when played properly, can make even the saddest of us move with the music.
